Ouch!

I don't have any experience with Peanut Oil. I understand some of the biological chemicals are good for grease & oil. Something LIKE THIS maybe? And get two or three "scum balls"...for sure.

you can use clarifiers and enzymes to help break down these oils. in addition, I would also suggest you shock your pool utilizing a liquid chlorine. in this way, it will oxidize any organics in the pool.

My Pool: My pool is a rectangle shaped pool which is 5.5 feet deep and is of dimension 10*20. We use hayward pump and pentek sediment water filter for our pool.

If you have a lot of oil present in your pool, you can use PIG oil only absorbent mats. It will absorb the oil present in the water and it won't rip or tear even when saturated.

I listen first time that thing. But it's interacting and better than the use chemicals. I think use coconut oil in the pool is good. If there isn't too much oil, you can use a Scum-Ball. If you have a lot of oil, you can use a PIG® Oil-Only Absorbent Mat Pad.

Never faced such an issue before but to keep that from happening again, you should install a pool fence.
