need some serious help!!!
we moved into a house that has an inground pool-30k gallon-that had not beed cared for in about a year or two. we drain/refilled and cleaned it. when we filled it up again we added all of the chemicals that we were told by the pool place. it has not been right since. now we found out that the fertilizer we put in the lawn is newtralizing the chlorine. the pool is green and it will NOT get clear--any suggestions besides shocking it and yellow out? we've already tried that.

Algeaide doesnt help to change the water color your water have some materials like mangan, cupper or iron so when you chlorize the water the color changes according to these metals so you need to balance the pH and shock the chlor and add flocculant/ coagulant you will see the metals at the bottom of the pool it will be big amount like mustard or green cotton the next day you will vacuum it.
and dont forget to bachwash and rinse
