foam from algaecide

How do I get rid of the foam from an algecide?? I closed the pool before winter and added algecide (hth) and I just opened it, and got foam, yesterday i added a shock and swim and the foam is even thicker. Suggestions please!!!

Found a site, it says it is either an algecide that foams,has in it dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride. this has a tendensy to foam. Or there is an air leak in one of your return lines.

When I look at the water 'coming back into the pool, is does look like a lot of air bubbles.

don't know if this will help or not. Mine started when I put in the filter and pump.
