Sand blowing into pool

we recently changed the sand in our filter, since restarting, it blows a small amount of sand back into the pool as it is on filter....Could we have put too much sand in the tank?

After adding new sand, you should backwash for at least 5-10 minutes, then do the same on the rinse setting. It washes out all the "dust" and small sand particles so they don't get into your pool.
