Re: Problem Pool Stats
To get your CYA down to about 50 (where is should be) you need to dump about half
If you are to winterise soon maybe let the winter rain and snow dilute it for you
Your FC isn't sufficient to sanitise with a CYA of 100

Why the algaecide?
Reasonable chlorine figure unless its green and you need to SLAM.

Hi Teapot
With a CYA of 100 you need about 12ppm of FC and slam of 39
His TC and FC are the same so he doesn't need to slam
He's probably been pool stored

Re: Problem Pool Stats
When I was in contact with Richard (chemgeek) we were working on normal level of chlorine being 7.5% of the CYA figure, as with all pools some areas of the world have worse water and some worse filtration so may need a bit more but at that level the chlorine can unbind from the CYA to attack the algae Richard said but I never quite understood.
