Possible Filter Problem

Postby NJC2020 » Sun 04 Jun, 2017 11:35

It seems that when the Filter is on , after a while water gushes into one of the skimmers. This leads to the water level dropping quite significantly.

I have tried to solve this by filling up the pool more and more , but I was wondering what the problem could be

Any help would be assistance

Thank you

I don't understand what you are saying as water is always entering the skimmer, do you mean air?
Also if the water level drops dramaticly you have a leak
Check the skimmer door isn't jammed up

Dear Dennis I mean water gushing in and looks like when you a flush a toilet

I will fill the Pool up again and turn the filter on and see

IF the skimmer is door is jammed what can I do

Is there anyway I can tell if there is a leak using the Psi rating on the filet

It definately seems that your skimmer door is jammed up by what you describe, just go to it and push it down. There maybe something jammed in there.
Get that fixed and see if it's back to normal
When the pump is running the door should move down with the flow of water being sucked over it

All seems fine today strangely enough , maybe because the pool is quite full and the sun hasnt been out so much. I will come back if it occurs again

Thank you
