Above Ground Automatic Cleaners

Postby jenigirl27 » Wed 02 Aug, 2006 15:51

HI!!!

I just wanted to know if anyone recommends those automatic cleaners. I have an above ground pool and was looking into buying one. I have seen the Robo Kleen and Pool Rover.

Do these really clean well? Like get sand up and after to put like a floc in the pool does it pick up the debris that is left over??

I really want to invest in one but I don't want to spend the money if they really are not worth it.

Thanks!!!

Yes, these are good cleaners to use, but keep in mind that they only clean debris such as leaves, sand etc., and they do not do walls, just the floor of the pool. They will not pick up some types of algae, such as "Mustard Algae".
I found that out real quick when I purchased a "Zippy" ... I have been having problems with mustard algae, and the only way to get rid of it is to let it settle, then vacum to waste manually with the pole vac. The zippy will not pick this stuff up, all it does is distributes it around the pool and makes the water look cloudy.
Hopes this info is of help to you.
