Our Hayward Navigator pool vacuum hoses get twisted and keep the vacuum from traveling around the whole pool as it should. Do you know why this is happening? Is it because we need to buy new hoses? Do they get worn out and want to twist up? Or is there some other reason?
Thanks!

I think I know why my hose gets twisted. The vacuum is going one way too long! It's supposed to go right, straight, left, straight, right, straight, etc., but I tested it and it was only going one direction. No wonder the hose gets twisted!!
Does anyone know how to get the vacuum to go both directions? Is there an adjustment or something?
Too bad I ALREADY BOUGHT NEW HOSES!!

Vacuum hose gets twisted - mine too
My Hayward Navigator started doing this too. It is only 4 months old and the hose is not the issue. It appears that the gearbox is stuck in left turn mode... if I hold it off the pool surface it continues to turn left (rotate left). I cleaned the gearbox and it still does this. Looking for answers. There is another post ("Navigator gets dizzy!") where the owner replace the feet and gearbox to no avail.
