Pressure reading high shortly after cleaning cartridges

Postby akh » Mon 08 Apr, 2019 11:28

new to your site, have been fighting high pressure readings for awhile. put in new cartridges less than 1 month ago, pressure dropped to less than 5psi. shark functioned normally immediately after installation. yesterday noticed pressure was high, shutdown system, pulled cartridges, cleaned and reinstalled. Also cleaned in-line leaf trap, pump basket, and skimmer. Pressure dropped back to less than 5psi and replaced pressure gauge. Adjusted pressure for shark/skimmer and shark was off and running. this morning went down to the pool and pressure has climbed to >20psi and shark is dead in the water. i keep pool squeaky clean and chems adjusted. any thoughts on pressure problem

Filters are clogging, need cleaning as often as required. Gradually as the water gets cleaner this problem will ease.
