yellow pollen

After a heavy rain with high winds my pool had a yellow look and it settled on the bottom. As soon as the creepy crawler touched it it went into clouds in the water then settled again. I have vacuumed with the waste on but once the water got down to the bottom of the skimmer I switched over to the straight vacumming as I lost suction. This is pollen from the trees. I am not winning , it removes a lot of it but the deep end is really hard to do. All chemical levels are okay. We shocked it before we realized what it was. Has anyone had this trouble and what do you suggest.
