Hydrostatic pressure issue

Postby Sammypool » Sat 07 May, 2022 03:53

Hi all,

I hope you are well.

I have recently drained my pool on a house I bought a year ago and checked out the hydrostatic valve which was actually totally deteriorated.I removed it to find that it’s basically blocked with solid concrete so I fail to see how pressure from beneath the pool could ever work it’s way up to the valve to release pressure.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Might be blocked because of a previous leak, a common proceedure by some.
I may not give you the answer you want to hear, but I will give an honest opinion of your situation as you decribe it.

If you have drained down with no problems then you probably don't have any groundwater to worry about either
