Very low pressure in sand filter - new to pools...

Postby petwouters » Sat 22 Dec, 2007 17:33

Hi all

I recently moved house and acquired a beautiful pool with a Questa sand filter. Everything so far has been going fine, but this morning I noticed the return to pool is next to non-existing, and the pressure has dropped to almost nothing. The strange thing is that I haven't really done anything to the filter?

At the moment it doesn't seem to filter at all even if the filter engine is running. Is there anyone who could explain how to get the filter back up and running, and how to increase the pressure again?

Thanks so much - and Merry Christmas!

Peter

Check voltage is ok. Check that skimmer and pump baskets are clean. Check whether something might have blocked a pipe or the impeller.
