sand getting into pool

I bought my house 4 years ago. I have changed out the sand twice. I have a Pac Fab Triton II sand filter. I started getting sand kicked into my pool this summer. I replaced the spider valve with gasket. Still got sand. So I changed out the sand and replaced the laterals. Still getting sand kicked back into the pool. It's the worst when I backwash, but sand is kicking into the pool every time the motor primes and runs. I don't know what else it could be or what else to check. Any suggestions?

Is the sand you are using the correct size? I've heard that little sand particles will pass through the laterals because sand grade is to small. Check with the manufacturer of the filter whether you need bigger sand.
Also, try giving the filter a good backwash and rinse, so that all excess sand will come out.
