I just acquired a new baracuda G4 now how do i make it work i have a dedicated vac line the question is what position should my pump be in,do i open the cleaner valve and shut of the main drain and can i leave it connected all the time when the pool is not in use.

My neighbor has a G4 as I do but he has a dedicated vac line, I don't. He keeps his Baracuda running all summer long, and I mean ALL summer long. Not sure of his pump valve setting. What settings do you have on your valve.

well i leave the main drain open just a little so the skimmer works harder,then i open the dedicated vac line approx 75% it seems to work very slow but it works
