While vacuuming, I get suction so intense that it's a huge effort to pull the head along the bottom of the pool.
Any ideas why this is happening and what I can do to remedy the situation?

Hi,

If you have separate valves for skimmer and main drain you can adjust the flow to lessen the suction of the vacuum. Also some vacuums have adjustable wheels so you can raise the vacuum head up.

As to why it may be happening, it could be the wheels have worn thus lowering the vacuum or the head itself has warped a bit lowering the middle of the vac toward the bottom.

I changed the inlet settings then inspected the vacuum. It was missing one of the wheels close to the suction hole. Move a wheel from another location and that made a huge difference. In fact, that was the intervention that really worked. Thanks!
