Mustard algae and more

Postby smoovie » Thu 21 Jun, 2012 07:55

I have a 23,000 in ground pool with a Caribbean Clear ionizer. Short strory, father passed away and now I am trying to keep the pool maintained. Pool store said I had mustard algae, they suggested the use of Algaecide 60 which is non-metallic, but didn't want me to put it in before I spoke with someone from Caribbean Clear just to be on the safe side. Can't get a response from the company, anyone have the answer? I hadn't been putting in the weekly bleach, apparently my father just used 2 gallons a week, had to use a sequestering agent because copper levels had gotten too high, now at .25 ish. PH, TA, CA, all finally good, I have been adding bleach like crazy yet my water is still cloudy from the powdery mustard algae. Do I turn up the system more to clear this up? Can I add some Aqua Chem Shock Plus? Oh, and I show no levels of TC or FC. PLEASE! I NEED HELP!
