Problem is Phil, as you add pH + the AlK returns as well, by using aeration athough at our high ALK levels it takes time you will get your pH stable mid 7's and your ALK down. That pump mod video I showed from youtube I copied and the amount of air bubbles is incredible you literally cloud the water for a day or two but it does the job. Your air stones will get you there but slower so please be patient. As the ALK reduces it takes longer still to raise the pH ( that is the point of the exercise). As I said I started from a similar point as you.

All understood and thanks for your input, but can you see where I'm coming from, when the PH gets to say 8.00 the ALK will again be sky high, reducing the PH as you suggested to lower the Alk will bring the alk at a guess to the top of it's scale around 120?

Yes but over time the pH will be in range and there wont be as much dissolved CO2 in the water so you'll get the lower level you want. It just takes time for the process but also as the ALK level falls the pH- will have a more dramatic effect so pH will fall quicker and lower so you will need to reduce the amount of pH- you use.

Now aerating with four stones.

Something strange happening but not really related to bubbles. I've just turned on my boiler to heat the pool, everything working fine but after about twenty minutes the mains trip out, when the boiler is running, switching it on and off doesn't cause this but after again about twenty minutes the fuse trips out, now this is strange because the aerator pump is running from the same supply via a plug box in the pump house, switching it off makes the boiler run continuously, you wouldn't think an 80w pump would cause this overload!

Thanks, I've emailed them as there only seems to be tab kits on their website and no provision to buy anything there either?

You'll be fine, they stock all the tabs etc for replacement. If you get stuck let me know but you shouldn't, I can always have a word with the MD.

Any issues with shipping chemicals vanishes if you pay more, funny init, cynical me but the shipper can get into big trouble if they dont do it be the book. I used to ship all over the EU and always embarrassing telling a customer the shipping charge.

I've had new tablets, I had to give the serial number of the unit, I know that my chlorine levels are high, I have tested with other equipment but when I test with the new tablets I'm getting 0.35 and 0.19 ????
