I have been battling getting my PH up to where it should be and my TA low. Here’s my current readings:
Total Hardness: 500
Total Chlorine: 1
Free Chlorine: 1
PH: 6.8
TA: 240
Stabilizer: 50
Pool occasionally gets cloudy must for the most part stays clear. I have added 2 boxes of Borax and also areated with an air compressor for 3 hours.
Should I focus on adding Muratic acid to get the TA in line first or should I continue adding Borax to get the PH up first?
Also how much more Borax should I add? When I used the pool calcualtor it came out to 4+ boxes but that seems like a lot.
Can’t get my PH level up and my TA down

Normally air compressors are high pressure low volume. You need the opposite, high flow low pressure something like a shop vac. The smaller the bubbles the better the effect.

You could try adding an Aerator to your eyeballs to raise the pH, when it gets quiet high reduce it and TA with muriatic acid
Use the common products to balance your water
Liquid chlorine (sodium hypochlorite or plain bleach)
Muriatic acid (hydrochloric acid) to lower pH and TA
Bicarbonate of soda to raise TA
Aeration will raise pH only
Soda ash will raise pH and TA

you can add 20 team mule borax to your pool water which raises PH only once you have it higher you can add muriatic acid to lower total alkalinity.

Did you actually read the OP's post, or are you just thick?
