cloudy water

Just purchased a pole pool 12 x 36 , 800 gallon. I am having a problem getting the ph and chlorine levels where they need to be. The ph is reading 8.0 to 8.2 with the chlorine fluctuating. I was told by pool store to use dura chlor for small pools been using 1/2 daily for chlorination. we also have well water and filled the pool. Water has been cloudy for 2 weeks. Any suggestions.

You need to use acid to bring the pH down, but no lower than 7.0.

High pH causes cloudiness.
