Alkalinity Level - Who to Believe

Postby crokett » Wed 11 Jul, 2007 20:46

I have the drops-type water tester. Tonight it told me pH was ideal but alkalinity was at 150PPM. According to the instructions it should be 100. I read somewhere that for my above-ground vinyl pool alkalinity can be as high as what I am reading. What should it be?

your alk. should be (80-100) if the rest of your chem is ok a ALK can be 130.
