Help with TA!!!

Postby Guest » Mon 08 Jun, 2009 18:47

I'm new to this pool maintenance thing. I have all my levels in good shape except my TA. My ph is at about 7.5 but my TA is at 200 ppm. The water is also a little cloudy. How can I bring down my TA without dropping my ph?

Help with TA!!!

You only temporarily lower your pH as described in this post on lowering the TA. However, if you don't find the pH to be rising over time (perhaps because you are using Trichlor pucks) then your TA level might be OK if your Calcium Hardness (CH) isn't too high. Get a good test kit and check your saturation index in The Pool Calculator.
