Do maple leaves and seeds affect pH?

Problems relating to pH and total alkalinity.
Increase ph, increase TA. Reduce pH, reduce TA.

My pH is increasing more frequently as the season turns --which is associated with moderate leaf fall, particularly from a maple, including its whirligig seeds. None stay in the pool, other than overnight, though some do accumulate in the pre-pump trap.

Could this cause pH increase?

Any other potential cause?

Not sure about those leaves, But my dads pool never needed acid as he had four giant pine trees around the pool which kept a layer of pine needles on the surface. Geez i hated cleaning that pool! I'm glad he sold that place and moved up to a lake! Or would that be upgraded to a lake?
