Which chlorine is correct for salt water chlorine cell?

Hi, I have one pool shop telling me to to use calcium based chlorine and another pool shop saying I should never use calcium based chlorine on a salt water chlorinator as it will damage the cell? The second pool shop mentioned above says I should always use stabalised sodium based chlorine so can someone please tell me which one is correct?
Thanks in advance

If your calcium hardness is too high you may get scaling on the electrodes or pool surfaces (especially if the pH or TA is high).

Stabilised chlorine should be used if the CYA (cyanuric acid/ stabiliser) is below 30ppm. It should NEVER be used if CYA is >100ppm.

Your pool needs cal hypo according to the info in your other thread.

I use bleach when I want to suppliment the SWG but otherwise you shouldn't normally require it.
