can't get rid of CC

Chlorinating, maintaining the right chlorine levels,
chlorine problems. Dichlor, trichlor, cal hypo, bleach,
granules, chlorine pucks and chlorine sticks.

Also, don't use soda ash to bring up your PH, it will also affect your TA.

Use aeration or 20 mule team borax to bring up your PH without raising the TA.

Keep your chlorine shock level up - may have to keep it up for 2 or 3 days. Depending on your CYA level you may have to keep it higher than you think to combat CC and raise your FC.

Here is a link to a good chart as to the levels. Scroll down to about the 4th post on this link. It shoes level of CYA(stabilizer) and what your FC min/max and shock level needs to be.

Thanks for the help. We are making progress but still struggling between the ph and TA. My pool is 39,000 gallons, how much 20 mule should I add?
