Chlorine/Black Algae

Postby michael05 » Sun 27 Jun, 2021 22:29

Hi everyone
I noticed a bunch of black spots on my vinyl liner so I took a water sample in. All numbers pretty good.
FC 3.14 TC 4.45 ph 7.4 ta 120 ch 135 cya 37 iron 0 copper 0.2 phosphate 153 salt 3081
20,000 gal in ground vinyl liner with swg
They gave me 2 lbs chlor brite to raise chlorine levels wait 24 hrs to add black algae killer. I tested chlorine 4 hrs later and it showed 0 on strips and Taylor kit
Is this normal

You Have combined chlorine and need to Slam (Shock Level and Maintain) with relation to Chlorine / CYA Chart and Recommended Pool Levels
Pool Maths
Use Liquid chlorine (sodium hypochlorite or plain bleach)

Return to “Chlorine”
