I just bought a Taylor K 2006 test kit, and if I performed my first test properly, here are my readings:
FC = .4ppm
CC = .22 ppm
pH = 7.6
Alkalinity = 120ppm
Calcium hardness = 120 ppm
CYA = <30ppm
any advice anyone can offer as far as adding the proper chemicals and keeping the water stabilized?
thanks!
constantly adding chlorine
Re: constantly adding chlorine
I would push the CYA level up to 40-50. Is your water clear? Chlorine is used up fighting algae or can be broken down and used up by the sun. A slightly higher CYA level should help with that.
