Chlorine demand

Chlorinating, maintaining the right chlorine levels,
chlorine problems. Dichlor, trichlor, cal hypo, bleach,
granules, chlorine pucks and chlorine sticks.

My Pool: 16x32 vinyl inground 20,000 gal ,aqua rite swg ,200 lbs sand filter 1hp pump

I have a 16x32 inground vinyl pool , had water tested at pool store everything fine but free chlorine, shut the swg off for the week tot.chlorine back to 1,how much shock should I use to break the demand

Deep end? Would need to know gallonage. Also the Free chlorine AND the total chlorine. Other test would be good too.

pool is 20,000 gal 8 foot deep end ,cya 50, tot.chlorine 1 ,ph 7.4 tot alk 120 salt 3300 free chlorine 0

You need to be keeping an eye on Calcium too.

You mention in another thread about chlorine also. Other chems don't look too bad and if I was going to do something here I would go grab 1 and in fact probably 2 gallons of chlorine and walk around the pool pouring them in. See what it looks like in 4-6 hours.
