I'm also carrying hose, vacuum, brush and skimmer net in the tool box. the tablets are in a closed bucket. could the chlorine tablets corrode the tool box and or other equipment?

Thanks.

Chlorine vapors will damage your tools.
Only depends, how good is the seal on the bucket cover.
It is then only matter of time. It did corrode my tools on the shelf in the garage over winter time with the covered bucket of pucks below. Vapors combine with th moisture and settle on channelocks, kleins, etc.
Sure, you can brush some rust off, but it is already pitted.
Specialy in the toolbox, where some vapors get trapped, it is asking for trouble.

Thanks. actually I'm storing the chlorine tabs, skimmer net, brush and hose in the tool box until I get an apartment. I still need granular, muriatic acid and soda ash. but I know I can't store the muriatic acid with the chlorine.
