Staining from trees

I have a question, I have 2 planters behind my pool area which have a Palm tee in each one. I have an annonidia Palm and a Rubelini Palm. SOmeone told me that the oils that these Palms emit will stain bottom of pool surface. Is this true? I have a few black satins on the bottom of my pool surface inside the corners.
