hose adapters for a Smith Corp pump

Does anyone know whether it's possible to buy hose adapters for the 2-inch pipe ports on a standard pool pump? I find some candidates on the web but I'm just not sure of them. The context is that I'd like to start closing my pool myself rather than hiring someone, and I need a pump to lower the water level below the skimmer. Rather than buy a 2nd pump, it would be great if I could just find hose adapters for my existing Smith Corp unit.
