I didn’t cover my pool this year for aesthetic reasons and to also be able to more easily keep an eye on it this year. I think the water level may have gotten too high last year, and I have problems with leaks I need to repair every year it seems.
I was surprised to see the ice get so thick and have been breaking up the edges and also added a heat tape strip while we are going through a deep freeze right now.
Would anyone worry about 5” of ice in an in ground pool? It’s ~65-80 years old, concrete or gunite or whatever that’s been painted many times.
Ice 5” thick Inground Pool. Worry?
