I live in Florida and keep my pool running year round. Our average temps are 60's during the day, 40's to 50's at night. How long should I run the filter each day?

Re: Keeping pool open
You only need to to run the pump sufficently to
Mix chemicals
Skim the surface
Vacuum and clean
Use a SWCG
There is no fixed time each pool is different, you could run at night when there is cheaper electricity. Only you can tell what's best for your pool
If you have an algae bloom it would be on 24/7
Don't forget to keep your chlorine at the correct level all year

It doesn't make any difference, do you heat it? or don't you swim?
Either way I would keep your chlorine up and use the pump to circulate it round the system for an hour

Re: Keeping pool open
Just keep your numbers in check to prevent an algae bloom and cover to prevent debris going in
Run for just an hour to circulate the chlorine round the system
Your chlorine loss wont be that great in the cooler temperature and being covered
