Can I leave the pump/filter out all winter (I live in the Boston area) ...COLLLD winters ... does the cold harm the pump. I usually take the whole thing in during the winter and store it in my basement, but i notice that my neighbors leave theirs out.
Any harm in leaving it out? .

shouldn't be as long as you drain all the water out of all the equipment. Pumps, Filters, Chlorinators, pipes. I am not sure if you have to cover anything from the cold though.
