Hi,
My first time of opening the pool and I have been ghosted by the previous owners. After watching all the self help videos, I have topped up my pool and connected and primed my pump. When I switch it on, I only get a low humming noise and the water is not moving up into the filter. I understand there may be air somewhere in the system but how do I release it? (I'm not aware of any release/bleeding valve on the filter). Thank you for your help.

Re: Pump Issues
If the pump pre filter is full of water? Then the humming is possible a failed capacitor (condenser) a low cost item to replace on the pump motor.
I may not give you the answer you want to hear, but I will give an honest opinion of your situation as you decribe it.
