Winter Pill?
I received a flyer from Leslie's pool yesterday and there was something in it called WinterPill. Supposedly, it's placed in the pool beneath the cover all winter and keeps the water clear all winter long. Has anybody ever used this? Is this supposed to be a substitute for closing chemicals? I find it kind of strange...

The MSDS for this product seems to be this one and says
All components are organic in nature and are non-toxic, non-caustic, non corrosive. Products contain no paint, solvents, base metals or metallic coatings. Non-hazardous and non-flammable, and non acidic
and does not list explicit ingredients. Therefore, I suspect it might just be some enzymes and not a real sanitizer. I'm not sure how this would prevent algae growth over the winter. It is possible that the organics are algaecide, but usually those ingredients are explicitly listed.
