Leaving a pool closed this summer - with a LEAK!

My inground, vinyl liner pool was winterized, but I can tell it leaked over the winter. I was depressed about it, and didn't want to spring for a new liner, so I never opened it.

I peeked under the cover, and it looks maybe half full or less.

Is it a problem to skip a summer?

Could I do even more damage leaving it half full (e.g., maybe the liner could be patched?)

Should I be throwing some extra chlorine in it to make it easier for when I eventually (next year I guess) try to open it?

General advice?
