winter maintenence

Postby no_days_off » Sun 15 Feb, 2009 15:39

Do I need to remove ice, snow and water from the cover of our winterized pool? Our pool was professionally closed in the fall. It was partially drained, and has both a winter cover and a leaf catcher. But after the harsh and varied conditions this winter, the pool is now filled with water and ice on top of the cover. It's approaching ground level, and i'm concerned about the effect of all this weight on the pool, the liner and the cover.

We always pump the water off the cover when the cover begins to sag.
We also use 2 cushion floats even tho only 1 was said to be enough
