Help on ozone generator

the pool company installed a ozone generator when they put my pool in. the line from the generator goes to the vacuum side {at the pump} i've been saying to them that it's putting air in the filter but they insist that's were it shold be i told them it should be after the filter he said if he did that it would shoot water in to the generator i thought it would create a vacuum looks like if i want this done i'll have to do it myself can you help thanks rob
