AquaRite salinity reading higher than strip results

Postby sidebyrne7 » Sun 29 May, 2016 09:04

I have an AquaRite generator that reads 3300ppm. I tested the water using strips which resulted in 2800. Which is more reliable? What could be causing this?

I tried the calibration procedure for the AquaRite where you watch the instant salinity reading count down, but it stopped at 3300. These readings were taken after I cleaned the cell. I did confirm the aquarite is configured for my t cell.

Pool details:
Pool has been in service for 2 seasons, this is beginning of 3.
11,000 gallon
fiberglass
30x14
AquaRite generator
t-3 cell
