How often do you have to replace salt chlorinator?

Postby aGrandma » Mon 14 May, 2007 20:35

My pool is beginning it's 4th summer and the salt chlorination system seems to be broken. When I look at replacement cost, it's nearly $1000. Is this how long the salt chlorination system is SUPPOSED to last? Do some last longer??
Actually it might be my cell. Unfortunately my brand is not sold any longer and I can't get a new cell for it. It's the Pure&Clear system.
Thanks!

It probably is your salt cell.

If you know the amp draw you can most likely fit an alternative brand cell of same size.
