I recently moved into a new home last April with all Jandy pool equipment. As it starting to warm back up I was making sure the pool was ready. The SWG was not chlorinating I noticed some buildup on the cell in the SWG. I looked online at cleaning guides and just did a 1:10 mixture with muriatic acid for about 15 mins to get it cleaned up. Afterward I hosed it out to get the remaining remnant's out. Upon inspection I noticed some large chunks of white coming out, but then noticed the center cell out of the 9 is now completely gone. I put it back in seeing if it would run normally and now am getting a check cell message on the box. Is this cell now shot because of that only after 1 year of being in use? Any advice is appreciated.

1 year is no time at all, is there a warranty period? I know on some cells a bridge of calcium can form which provides a path to short out (least resistance) but after just a year,
I may not give you the answer you want to hear, but I will give an honest opinion of your situation as you decribe it.

I am not sure I have reached out to Jandy, but have not heard anything back so far. I've heard that they are not very good at covering parts unless you have a well documented list of maintenance and what not. That sounds like what happened when I pulled it out to clean it the middle cell had basically been eaten away to almost nothing and Im assuming the rest was knocked out when I washed it off with the hose after soaking it.
