heater lifespan with salt

Postby reedmal » Wed 28 May, 2008 13:38

Does anyone have experience with products like BioGuard Mineral Springs Beginnings extending the life of your heater? Or can anyone tell me how many years of heater service i can expect using salt?

Whoever told you that is telling you fairy tales.

There is nothing magic about that Mineral Springs stuff, it's just a mixture of stuff you can buy in a grocery store. Life of your heater will depend on your water balance, and what the core is made of - copper or titanium.
