Need Help Please

I have a intex metal framed pool, 16x48, and have a intex salt water system. Do I still need to put cyanuric acid in the pool when i set it up?

Yes you need to add some Cyanuric Acid (CYA). Not only does CYA protect the chlorine from rapid breakdown from the UV in sunlight, but it moderates chlorine's strength so slows down corrosion and oxidation of your swimsuits, skin and hair (and creation of some disinfection by-products, most notably nitrogen trichloride).
