how much? (chemicals)

Postby adamunsworth » Wed 02 May, 2018 04:40

Hi,

Im in Portugal. My pool is 3.5m x 9m and is 1m deep at the shallow end and 1.65m at the deep end. I used a pool volume calculator and it said my pool was 10900 gallons or 41.2m3.

I have some PH- which says to add 1.5kg per 0.2 units that need reducing for a 100m3 pool.

I need to reduce the pool by 0.6 units.

How much do I add?

Thanks

According to your calculations and information given I work out you need 1.854kg to bring your pH down by 0.6
Ideally you should have a complete range of numbers with a decent FAS/DPD test kit as pool chemistry is inter-dependant

As Dennis said you need a decent test kit and not dip strips. What are your water levels at the moment? Cyanuric acid stabilser is the most important level in your pool, generally the pH won't matter unless it is low, if you have cyanuric acid stabiliser in the water.
