Trichlor and Cal Hypo

What is floc, clarifier, stabilizer, cyanuric acid,
algaecide, brightener, dichlor, sodium hypo,
sodium bisulfate, ....??

I know it is unsafe and never recommended to mix Trichlor and Cal hypo in a physical material manner or in small confined spaces or bucket etc.

Is it safe and effective and maybe even widely practiced to use 3 inch Trichlor tabs in a floating device and shocking the pool with Cal Hypo? Or is it a def no no..

Looks like alot of knowledgeable people here and I thank you in advance!
