We have an 220,000 outdoor swimming pool in Tampa FL. Starting last fall, the ORP would drift upward during the day, reach a peak in the middle of the day and then drift down in the evening. After passing the set point of the feeder, the chlorine was no longer feeding. This was confirmed by the DPD test, which remained constant or even decreased. There was a tendency for the ORP to go higher on sunny days when it might reach the set maximum of 840. I have found nothing on the internet or from those with whom I have talked can give any answer except a faulty regulator. We installed a new regulator but the problem persists. I have a chemistry background and am at a loss to understand why this might be happening.
Rimoc
