WHITE STUFF ON POOL FLOOR

I have alot of bugs (flies, moths, etc.) get into my pool. I filter and sweep my pool. My chlorine levels fluctuate slightly. Ph usually good. I have all these dead bugs settle to the bottom of the pool and a white goo surrounds them. I have backswimmers in the pool. Could this be caused by the backswimmers, or is it algea. How do I get rid of both problems. The water is usually crystal clear- but occasionally gets a little cloudy. I usually just run the filter longer and swwp the floor to remove the cloudy water. The white slime and bugs are driving me crazy!
