happy bottom pool base

have a 24 by 48 round pool i put up 15 years ago, well the liner wich is original has finaly died, the pool company said the walls and structure were sound and no need to replace the whole thing,, just the liner, so thats the plan but what i was wondering , will the happy bottom floor base work for just a liner replacement, or is it used for new applications only, it looks like somethnig that could save a whole bunch of time and trouble, any help would be appreciated, thanks
