Pool posts heaving from ground
Pool posts heaving from ground
We opened our above ground 21' pool to find the top rails had separated from the pool wall about half way around. On the advice of the pool store, we dug down to excavate the bottoms of the posts. About 5 of the 16 base plates have cracked and the post is no longer screwed into it. We cleaned out the sand and dirt and set the post back in the base plate, lowering the rail into the top of the wall once again. To remove and replace the base plates would entail taking the pool apart, basically. Is the pool secure if we do not replace the base plates? Again, it's about a third of the posts.
