Modular Waterfall Leak

Postby Brianc61 » Fri 29 May, 2020 19:30

I have a small modular waterfall that I just noticed is leaking. The waterfall has it's own pump. My question is, if I keep the pump off and turn off the ball valve to the waterfall, is there anyway for water to still circulate to the waterfall from the pump?

I suspect it shouldn't. Give it a try

I am asking as I have had the pump off for several days. but it is still leaking. I suspect that there is a void in the waterfall that is full of water and it is leaking from there. That is the reason for the question.

It's probably that. I've seen cases when water is siphoning through pump and leak at the pipe break if that break is bellow water line. You also have a ball valve, but they also give out. This is a less probable scenario
